Dining Options for Every Palate and Budget
Springfield College students have many great dining options to choose from, all without ever having to leave campus. Cheney Dining Hall offers café-style dining and made-to-order meals with a multitude of options—from fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, vegetarian selections, and meals that can be customized to any palate. Daily features include soups and fresh-baked breads, stir-fry stations, fresh cooked pastas, salad and fruit bars, homemade desserts, and traditional, home-style meals. The Richard B. Flynn Campus Union features, a food court with a two-story atrium for casual dining as well as a sports bistro with large flat-screen televisions. A burger bar, brick oven pizza station, and Dunkin Donuts are also located in the union.

For those who venture off campus for dinner, the city abounds with budget-friendly options.
At Springfield’s riverfront, Uno Chicago Grill offers authentic deep dish pizza, sandwiches, and salads that can be enjoyed on an outdoor deck. Weather permitting, the restaurant hosts live music seven days a week on the patio. Plan B Burger Bar and Max’s Tavern are also located at the riverfront, and are two of the city’s most treasured eateries. At Cold Stone Creamery, enjoy great ice cream and cool dessert treats.
Springfield’s legendary Red Rose Pizzeria makes pizza that’s considered to be the best in the city; other menu entrée costs range from $8 to $12. Springfield’s downtown has a plethora of gourmet and ethnic eateries, and the city is home to many restaurant staples like Texas Roadhouse, Chili’s, Ruby Tuesday, 99 Restaurant, Panera Bread Company, Applebees, and more, are located just a few minutes from campus.
