Veterans in the News
Springfield College Alumnus Honored
Lieutenant Commander Steve Popielarz was the recipient of this year’s Charles J. Redmond Distinguished Alumni Award, given by the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Studies on April 20. Popielarz serves as an aerospace physiologist in the United States Navy. He received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training in 1982, a master’s degree in sports injury management in 1984, and a certificate of advance study, all from Springfield College.
