Employment/Volunteer Opportunities Working with Youth
Student Volunteer Programs has positions available for student mentors with its Partners, BLAST, and America Reads Programs. Springfield College students with federal work study are eligible for payment, and all others students are welcome as volunteers. College students would work with local elementary students either on the campus on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons with the Partners Program or off the campus at Brookings School on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with the BLAST Program. Applications for these positions are available now from Student Volunteer Programs and the positions will begin on Feb. 4. We also have opportunities to work with local area youth during the day at their elementary schools and in the afternoon/early evening at community after school programs. These positions will begin in mid-February. For more information or an application, please contact Student Volunteer Programs by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, by phone at (413) 748-3394, or stop by the office in the Richard B.
