Q. Will I get a monthly bill?
A. Every month students will be notified electronically via Springfield College email that the bill is ready to be viewed. This is the only address the email notification will be sent to.
Q. How much do I owe?
A. All charges minus estimated financial aid (including parent loans and scholarships) are the amount due. Unless you are participating in the “per semester” payment plan, this balance is due by the statement due date.
Q. How do I set up payment plan?
A. Log into PrideNet
, go to “My Profile” tab, “My Student Account” Link, then click on eBill/Payment Plan (view eBill for Fall 2014, scroll down to the bottom and click on payment plan. (Once completed the Business Office will be notified of your payment plan intentions.) Print a copy for your records.
Q. How do I pay my bill?
- Springfield College Bursar's Office accepts cash, checks, and money orders for the payment of tuition and fees.
Our office cannot accept credit card payments; however, credit card payments can be made online. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- Springfield College students who are currently enrolled can make online payments using CashNet via their PrideNet portal. Payment methods include ACH check payment and credit card. Each credit card transaction is assessed a 2.75% convenience fee.
- Payments can be mailed directly to Springfield College, Business Office, 263 Alden Street, Springfield MA 01109.
Q. Why am I being charged health insurance?
A. All full time and part time students registered for 75% of full time curriculum will automatically be enrolled in the Springfield College Health Insurance Plan. To accept or decline health insurance enrollment, please complete the online waiver form
by September 15, 2014. All correspondence will be emailed to your Springfield College email.
Q. Am I eligible for a book voucher?
A. Book vouchers are eligible to students who will have excess funds from a loan or scholarship. All financial aid documents must be received before a book voucher can be issued. Springfield College student ID is required at the time a voucher is requested. Book vouchers cannot be mailed.
Q. When will my financial aid be applied?
A. Financial Aid will not be applied until after classes begin, provided you have completed all the requirements including the Entrance Interview and Master Promissory Note if you are applying loans, the college has received the funds from the source (ex. lender, state, scholarship agency, etc..) If your balance is covered in full by financial aid, no payment is required. If you have not completed your Master Promissory Note or Entrance Interview please do so by going to www.studentloans.gov
Q. If I have a credit on my account when will I receive the funds?
A. If a student has a credit balance on their account a refund check will be issued within 14 days unless the student authorizes the College, in writing, to hold the credit balance for a future semester.
Q. How do I set up for my refund to be deposited into my account?
A. You can sign up for electronic refunds and have your money automatically deposited into your bank account by logging into your PrideNet
account, click “My Profile” tab, click “My Student Account” then click the “Go to CashNet Link”. Go to the eRefund Section (located below your recent payments section) and follow the steps.
