My experience at Springfield College was the best experience I could have hoped for with regard to my education.
The weekend program in the School of Human Services was convenient for me; I preferred an adult learning environment, and the fact that students can earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree in just 16-24 months was appealing to me.
The Springfield College staff is wonderful and professors are extremely knowledgeable. The curriculum within the School of Human Services is exceptional.
Resources such as the online library combined with professors who go to great lengths to assist in a student’s learning experience, helped make all the difference. Professors were always available to students and consistent in responding to phone calls or e-mails. They also were always willing to spend extra time if needed to assist anyone who required additional help.
The group class was extremely beneficial. I learned so much about research and how to help people in need. My time at Springfield College was a wonderful experience overall. Springfield College is an amazing institution. I always felt as though I truly belonged and that this was my school, despite early reservations that because I was an older student, I may not feel that way.
The humanities philosophy has given me new insight on how I can help others. It has made me realize I can make a difference. I learned I don’t have to change the world, just change what I can. If everyone takes that position, then major change can occur. I completed a fellowship with other students and chose a curriculum with other people who were around the same age as I was. I soon found that most students (no matter what their ages) had the same interests: to advance/begin their careers and to help others.
The campus offers a community atmosphere and everyone is friendly, including younger, conventional students, who are always willing to lend a helping hand.
