Springfield College Exercise Science and Sport Studies Professor Wayne Rodrigues assists WWLP TV 22 with a story focused on head injuries and he showcases some of the latest technology the College utilizes in regards to head impact collisions.
- Springfield College Center for Wellness Education and Research to Welcome Renown Nutritional Journalist to Campus
The Springfield College Center for Wellness Education and Research (CWER) and the Springfield College class of 2016 will host journalist and nutrition expert Gary Taubes on Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Fuller Arts Center at 7 p.m. Taubes’ presentation, “Why We Get Fat and What to do About It,” will focus on years of research that analyzes the effects of how much and what an individual eats, and how it relates to their health. The event is free and open to the public.
- Springfield College Student Competes at National University Weightlifting Championships
Springfield College graduate student in the Exercise Science Masters Program Dani Tocci is currently representing the College at the National University Championships Weightlifting Meet in Albuquerque, New Mexico this weekend. This is a national meet for all college age Olympic weightlifters.

Approximately 2,000 Springfield College students, faculty, staff, and alumni took part in the 17th annual Humanics in Action Day on Tuesday, Sept. 23, a day of community service throughout the city of Springfield.
