- Springfield College Center for Wellness Education and Research to Welcome Renowned Nutritional Journalist to Campus
The Springfield College Center for Wellness Education and Research (CWER) and the Springfield College class of 2016 will host journalist and nutrition expert Gary Taubes on Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Fuller Arts Center at 7 p.m. Taubes’ presentation, “Why We Get Fat and What to do About It,” will focus on years of research that analyzes the effects of how much and what an individual eats, and how it relates to their health. The event is free and open to the public.

Springfield College hosted the 105th gymnastics exhibition show, Motion and Film, on Friday, Oct. 17, and again on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Blake Arena.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, Springfield College hosted its annual Alumni Awards and Athletic Hall of Fame and Dinner inside the Cleveland E. and Phyllis B. Dodge Room in the Campus Union as part of the College’s homecoming celebration.
- Springfield College Campus Community Makes 12,096 Meals for Food Bank of Western MA
On Friday, October 17, Springfield College students, faculty members, staff members, President Mary-Beth Cooper and members of the Springfield College Board of Trustees helped make 12,096 meals for the Hunger Project: Feeding Children Everywhere. The food was donated locally to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
