Required Courses
- CMDS 101 - Introduction to Communication Sciences and Disorders (3 credits)
- CMDS 456 - Language Acquisition and Development (3 credits)
Selectives
Students choose three of the following courses. Students interested in pursuing graduate study in speech-language pathology or audiology should focus on core courses that are preceded by an asterisk (*). These courses are required for certification by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Please note that some of the following courses have prerequisites.
- CMDS 239: Understanding Deafness & Hearing Loss
- CMDS 259: Phonetics
- *CMDS 353: Anatomy & Physiology of the Speech and Hearing
- *CMDS 363: Speech & Hearing Science
- CMDS 368: Articulation and Phonological Disorders
