Welcome Home for Reunion 2008!
Dear Springfield College Alums, Friends, and Family:It is with great pleasure and a true sense of pride that I am looking forward to welcoming you home for Reunion 2008! This year’s Reunion promises to be quite special, because from the moment you arrive on campus, you will see first-hand how your Springfield College home is fulfilling the promise to future generations of students who will follow in your footsteps. When you drive up Alden Street, you’ll see that construction of three new buildings—the new Field House, the new Wellness Center, and the new Athletic Training/Exercise Science Complex—moves closer to the grand opening date of August 2008. And, we will celebrate the start of the construction of the new Campus Union and renovation of the Beveridge Center.
These new buildings are so vital to continuing to enhance the College’s reputation and stature and to ensuring that the College and its living and learning environment continue to attract students. These initiatives, and much more, are all part of the Leadership for the 21st Century: The Campaign for Springfield College.
This year’s Reunion offers a wide range of activities for all ages: from participating in campus tours to using your Doggett Dollars at the popular family-friendly Casino Royale Gala; from the Junior Pride Club Activities to the Reunion parade; and much, much more.
As always, Reunion promises to be a time of uniting with the College, renewing old friendships, and celebrating all that is wonderful about Springfield College. If you cannot make the entire weekend, please come for part. We just want you to return home to the shores of Lake Massasoit. If you have questions, please contact the Alumni Relations staff at 413.748.3161 or e-mail us at alumni@spfldcol.edu.
