Graduate Education Open House at Springfield College School of Health Sciences and Rehabilitation Studies

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Jan. 25, 2007 – The Springfield College School of Health Sciences & Rehabilitation Studies will hold an open house/information session for prospective students interested in graduate education on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the Allied Health Sciences Center, on the campus. This open house is for students who already hold an undergraduate degree.

The School of Health Sciences and Rehabilitation Studies offers master’s degree programs in occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, and rehabilitation counseling and services. It also offers a certificate of advanced graduate study program in occupational therapy, and a doctoral program in physical therapy.

According to William Susman, dean of the Springfield College School of Health Sciences & Rehabilitation Studies, “Career opportunities are at an all-time high for health-care professionals. Demand in some fields will increase by as much as 50 percent by 2014. To succeed in the complex and rapidly changing health-care workplace, professionals must master the latest knowledge and skills. Graduate education is vital to entering or advancing in many fields.”
