SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Nov. 8, 2004 -- “No Fixed Points,” the Springfield College fall dance concert, will feature a mixture of ballet, modern dance, jazz, tap, dance theatre, and hip-hop with original choreography by faculty members Dr. Cynthia Nazzaro, Cheri Soule and Megan Frazier. New works by graduate and undergraduate students also will be on the program Nov. 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. in Appleton Auditorium of Fuller Arts Center on the campus.

Nazzaro has created a dance on themes of Italian American music and culture, which will feature performances by faculty members from the college’s departments of visual and performing arts and psychology, as well as student and community performers. Frazier’s dance explores significant events in the transition from girlhood to womanhood. Soule has choreographed a lively comedic trio for student dancers.

The program of 10 group dances and two solos will include performances by the SC Dancers, student dance majors, community dancers, faculty members and guest artists. The event is a program of the Springfield College William Simpson Fine Arts Series of visual and performing arts programs open to the public.
