Undergraduate Study
In the rapidly growing fields of sport/physical training and exercise science, Springfield College graduates are highly sought. The College has been recognized internationally as a leader in physical education, fitness, sport, and athletics for more than a century. Our exercise science and sport studies students enjoy a level of specialization available at few other educational institutions.
As an exercise science and sport studies student, you will receive extensive training in physiology, anatomy, and the biomechanics of movement, using our state-of-the- art laboratories. You will study movement and sport, learn about how the physical self is tied to the emotional/psychological self, and how state-of-mind can affect the physical body.

The College's graduate programs in the exercise science and sport studies department appeal to physical educators, health and wellness professionals, coaches, athletic trainers, and other exceptional students who are interested in movement, exercise, or sport sciences.
Advanced study in human movement and exercise provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the physiological and psychosocial foundations of movement in exercise and sport.
A master's degree from one of the exercise science or sport studies programs equips students for a science-based sport, exercise or athletic health care oriented career. The master's degree may also form a substantial foundation toward doctoral study.
