The post-baccalaureate secondary education concentration prepares students for the initial teaching license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the content area of the student’s bachelor’s degree. The cornerstones of the Secondary Education program are inquiry-based teaching methods, standards-based curriculum development and team building strategies that enhance relationships with individual, groups and families. The program offers a combination of course work and field experiences taken concurrently. The prerequisite is a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Math, English, Political Science, History, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, or Visual Arts.
