Meet the Staff

David Hall

Dave Hall

Director
Dave completed his bachelor's degree in psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., and a graduate assistantship at the University of West Florida, in Pensacola, Fla. He spent five years as assistant director of recreation at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, before moving to Stockton, Calif., to become director of campus recreation at the University of the Pacific in June 2000, where he also received his Ed.D. in educational administration and leadership. He began at Springfield College as its first director of campus recreation in 2005. 

Peter Avdoulos

Peter Avdoulos

Assistant Director (Facilities & Aquatics)
Pete received his bachelor of science degree in business management from Springfield College.  He is also entering his twenty-sixth season as the head men's and women's diving coach at the College.  Pete coordinates all pool operations as well as scheduling for all athletic facilities on campus.  He currently maintains the national Certified Pool Operator status.   

Kristen Brosius

Kristen Brosius

Coordinator of Facility Operations and Student Development
Kristen received her bachelor of science degree in exercise and sport psychology (health science/psychology) from Keene State in New Hampshire. She recently received her M.Ed. in athletic counseling and is currently finishing her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in clinical mental health counseling. Prior to becoming a full-time member of the staff at Springfield College, Kristen served as the graduate associate (facilities/fitness, marketing) for the Department of Campus Recreation.

Maureen

Stacey Rose

Health Educator
Stacey received her bachelor of science degree in business administration and psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She recently received her M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She spent two years working as the wellness graduate assistant for the Department of Recreation and Wellness at Bowling Green. There she advised the campus peer education group and a healthy lifestyles student organization, the Student Wellness Network. She also planned late night alternative programming, organized panels and lectures on wellness topics for first year students, brought speakers to campus for National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, and taught a seminar for the College of Health and Human Services each semester.

Kate McMahon

Assistant Director (Fitness and Wellness)
Kate attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she received a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology. She earned an M.Ed. in exercise science and sport studies with a concentration in health promotion and disease prevention here at the College. During her second year of graduate school, she was the graduate associate for fitness and wellness for Campus Recreation. After graduating, she became the health educator and is now serving as the assistant director of Campus Recreation for fitness and wellness.

Tom

Tom St. John

Coordinator of Intramural and Club Sports
Tom hails from Bangor, Maine and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of Maine. After graduation, Tom spent three years working for the Bangor Y, where he served as the Assistant Director of Recreation Sports and as a summer Camp Director. Following the Bangor Y, Tom pursued his M.Ed in Counseling Education from the University of Maine, where he also served as Graduate Assistant for Intramurals and began a summer camp for the University's Campus Recreation Department.

Maureen

Maureen Naglieri

Administrative Assistant
Maureen was born and raised in Springfield, MA. Maureen previously worked at Monarch Life Insurance Company and Bay Path College as an Administrative Assistant for the college's Facilities and Purchasing Departments. She has been employed by Springfield College since August 2004. She worked in the Residence Life office until 2007 as an administrative secretary and now works for the Campus Recreation Department as an Administrative Assistant.

Debra Stroiney

Fitness and Wellness/Health Education Graduate Associate
Deb graduated from Boston University with a degree in Psychology, and went on to receive her masters in Exercise and Sport Psychology at Southern CT State University. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Exercise Physiology at the College. Before attending Springfield College, Deb was working at a corporate fitness center in group fitness, personal training, and health promotion.

Jade Prickett

Graduate Associate for Club Sports
Jade hails from Westhampton, Massachusetts and is in her first year of the Springfield College Athletic Administration program. In addition to working with club sports, Jade is a Graduate Associate for the Department of Athletics. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Early Childhood Education. Before pursuing her graduate degree, she worked at the Wellesley College Athletic Department.

Graduate Associates for Facilities/Special Events:

Kathryn Formica
Kathryn is a first year graduate student from West Hartford, Connecticut. She graduated from Springfield College in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Health Science. Currently, she is working to pursue a Master of Science degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention here at Springfield College. Kathryn has worked as a wellness supervisor for the Department of Campus Recreation for the past three years and completed a fitness and wellness internship. Kathryn continues to teach group exercise classes while pursuing her master’s degree.

Maggie Stella
Maggie graduated from Springfield College with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Exercise Science. She is currently enrolled in her first year in the Clinical Exercise Physiology master’s program. Maggie is a certified LiveStrong trainer for the YMCA.

Scott Woodaman
Scott Graduated from Springfield College in 2009 with a bachelor in Movement and Sports Studies. He has been employed with Campus Recreation for one year working as a Wellness Supervisor. He now is working as an intern to complete the requirements for his master’s degree in Physical Education.

Meghan Judge
Meghan is a graduate student in the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention program. She is from New Jersey and hope to return there after graduation.
