Class of '85

Dear Fellow Classmates,

Our 25th reunion will be here before you know it.  We hope you have reserved the dates on your calendar and have returned your pre-response forms so we may better plan. 
Here is the latest information!

Annual Fund update-  Class participation is key.  Our goal is to have AT LEAST 85 members of our class participate in giving back to Springfield since we are the Class of ’85.  To make it even more exciting, there is a challenge for the month of March.  A group of members of our Board of Trustees have challenged Springfield College to bring in $125,000 and when we do, they will increase their own personal giving by 25%!  If everyone in our class gave at least $25.00, we would raise almost $10,000 from our class alone.  Please consider giving what you can.  You can make a gift online by going to www.springfieldcollege.edu/annualfund and click on “Make Your Gift Online”.

Attendance-  If you can’t stay for the whole weekend, come for part.

Lodging-   Rooms are reserved for the Class of ’85 at the Crowne Plaza.  Call (860) 741-2211 by May 20th with your major credit card.  Ask for the ’85 floor.  The Crowne Plaza said that they would do their very best to keep us all on one floor. So make your reservations promptly.

Pre-response form-  If you have not done so yet, please return your pre-response form.

Class dinner- Our class dinner Saturday evening will take place on campus.  We will eat dinner as a class.  After dinner, we will be joining the class of ’90 for a party with live music.

Child care- There are many kids activities planned.  If you are going to need child care during your stay, make sure you mark your registration form requesting a babysitting registration flyer.

Workshop- There will be a workshop for parents and teens of college bound high school students.

Phone-a-Thon- Several Class of ’85 members will be conducting a phone-a-thon on March 23rd from 6-8 p.m. to generate excitement and encourage attendance.

We are all looking forward to this reunion and hope you will be joining us.  More information will follow.  Please contact your fellow classmates to build up momentum and increase attendance.  Hope to see you in June.

Dear Fellow Class Members,

It is hard to believe, but our 25th Class Reunion is fast approaching. With all that is going on in the world right now, we are so grateful for family and friends. And, what a special opportunity to be able to connect or reconnect with old friends back at the place that brought us all together ….Springfield College. Please come to our reunion.

If you can’t come for the whole weekend, come for the day. There are a multitude of activities planned on campus in a family friendly atmosphere. We’re keeping things on campus this time, so we don’t lose any opportunities to spend time together.

A lot has changed at Springfield College. There is so much to see. Yet, not so much has changed that you won’t immediately recognize the campus and the feeling of homecoming as you walk through the grounds on familiar pathways where you once took so many steps. Those steps helped make you the person you are today. Please join us at our 25th Reunion

Here are some initial details:

1. Dates: Thursday, June 10 through Sunday, June 13, 2010.
2. Housing: The Crowne Plaza is able to accommodate rooms on one floor for the class of 1985. There is a bar available open from 2:00 P.M. until 1:30 A.M. More information with be forthcoming. The number is 860-741-2211.  Call by May 20th with a major credit card and ask for the Springfield College Class of ’85 block.
3. Attendance: Come for the weekend or for an afternoon. It would build momentum if you could each reach out to old friends and encourage others from our class to attend. There are a lot of reunion events planned, but the best part is spending time together.
4. Planning for the Reunion: Please complete and return the enclosed pre-response form so we may better plan for our reunion. Please keep in mind this is not your formal registration.  It is to give the committee an advanced idea of numbers.
5. Give back! So far, 30 members of our class (about 8%) have given a total of $5,211 to Springfield College this year. Our goal is to get at least 85 donors for the Class of '85! If you've already given, thank you! If not, please consider it today. Your participation will help us reach our goal.

The next committee meeting will take place in early February and a letter will follow with more information. Save the dates. Contact your friends. Let’s make the
