Class of '49/50
To all members of the Classes of ’49, ’50,
Good news! The members of the Class of ’51 have decided to join with ’49 and ’50 in our upcoming reunion in June of ’10! Many of the members of all three classes are veterans of World War II and came to Springfield with shared experiences. The basic plans are presently being laid for the weekend with reps of all three classes. The ’51 ers will be represented by Jack Neuman. The other two classes will be represented by Dick Sell, Mason and Bobbie Ellison, Norm Hiersche, and Dick Brigham. Originally, ’51 was also going to be represented by Ed Sims. Tragically, Ed died during January. He will be missed.
The Crowne Plaza in Enfield will again be our home away from home during our stay. It worked out well for those who attended reunion last year. There will be joint activities for all three classes as well as individual class programs. More details will come later as we develop our plans. A good number of class members from all three classes have indicated that they will attend, so we’re looking forward to an interesting, somewhat sentimental, but good old-fashioned Springfield homecoming.
