Dear Classmates:
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2010. WOW! Where has the time gone?
I remember arriving at Springfield in September of 1966 and being greeted by members of the Football Team, ’70 Beanies, Traditions, and all of my new friends.
For the last few years many of us have been sharing memories of our days at Springfield through 40/40. Now we would like all of you to come and share those memories on Campus at our 40th Reunion.  So mark your calendar!!!

  • REUNION WEEKEND IS JUNE 10-13.
Please join us even if it is only for a few hours.
  • HOUSING
We are in the process of securing a hotel and reserving rooms for our class. Our next letter will have all the information you will need to make your reservations.
  • CLASS DUES
A rich Class we are not. Our treasury could use a boost. We will be able to run a better reunion if everyone sends their dues. Whether or not you are able to attend please send your dues with your pre-response form. We only ask for dues once every five years and our dues have not increased since we Graduated!!!! So please send your payment of $19.70 to “Springfield College Alumni Office” and note CLASS OF 1970 Dues
  • ALUMNI FUND
When you come back for our reunion you will see many of the buildings we saw upon our arrival. But like many of us who have “changed over the years” so has our campus. Cathy Parker Breese, Mark “Hondo” Honiberg; George “Shorty” Dixon and I met on campus for Fall Homecoming. Also on campus for the weekend were Sue Lundin, Carol Able Giordano, Linda Baxter Redmond and a number of other familiar faces. We all marveled at the new facilities and other changes on campus. Keeping our Alma Mater among the top schools in the country is a challenge. So “RALLY 70” please make your donation to the Alumni Fund. Alumni Fund giving, is NOT “how much one gives”, IT IS "how many classmates participate” no matter how large or small your donation. If you’ve already given this year – thank you!!
  • PRE-RESPONSE FORM
We are sure the weekend of June 10-13 will be a memorable one for all of us. Enclosed is a pre-response form. This is not a registration and is not binding; however it will help us plan the weekend.
  • COME ONE COME ALL
Reach out to your friends. Check out the College’s website www.spfldcol.edu regularly over the next few months. The Alumni Office will have a Class of 1970 web page as well as up to date information on the weekend. If you are on Facebook let Classmates know if you are coming. Feel free to drop any member of the committee a note with suggestions, notes, etc.

We look forward to seeing everyone for our 40th Reunion:
