SHS Charleston Participates in 2006 Humanics In Action DayThe School of Human Services Charleston Campus of Springfield College gathered students, family, friends, staff, and faculty to participate in the annual Humanics In Action Day. This marks the first year that the campus has highlighted this event at the local level in connection with the celebration held annually at the Springfield College main campus. Teams consisting of students, staff, faculty and guests put humanics into action as they worked at the Eagle Harbor Residential Care Community for Young Men. Eagle Harbor’s philosophy is “Empowering Children to Soar Beyond Their Circumstance.” This philosophy fits well with the College’s humanics philosophy of educating students in spirit, mind, and body for leadership in service to humanity.
