Fellow Springfield Alumni,

Well, it’s been ten years since graduation and not one of you made it into the WWE.  Don’t worry, your alma mater loves you anyway.  And unlike your last girlfriend or boyfriend, your alma mater doesn’t mind if you’re clingy.  So, take a lesson from Saran Wrap and show your alma mater some love by attending your ten year reunion!  Got a baby?  Brag about it!  Don’t have a baby?  Take that money you’re not spending on daycare to Wong Wok!  Whatever you do, don’t take that money to the Hot Spot.  You burn that money before you spend it at the Hot Spot.  Just like the Alamo, REMEMBER JUNIOR NIGHT!!!

Reunion is June 10 – 13, 2010 – look out for the brochure, coming out soon!

Part of Reunion is showing support for your alma mater.  Whether or not you plan to attend, please consider making a donation to the Annual Fund.  The college’s goal is to have 10% of the class of 2000 make a donation.  So far 14 members of the Class of 2000 have donated, including each of the undersigned.  That means we need 31 more members of the class to donate.  So, this weekend, please consider making it rain with just one bottle of Cristal instead of two.  Instead of seeing Avatar at the 3D IMAX, rent Alien and Pocahontas and watch them simultaneously.  Instead of buying bacon and mayonnaise, buy Baconnaise.  If you lived in Cell Block 1A, consider donating the value of the doorknobs you ripped off your doors.  Your alma mater appreciates any sacrifices you can make.  Seriously, $5.00 helps.  If you come to Reunion, trust me, you will not be disappointed with how the money has been spent.  The improvements to the campus are amazing!

Dear Fellow Class of 2000 Alumni,

Although it only seems like yesterday we roamed the sidewalks of Springfield in beanies and anticipated the festivities of Sti-Yu-Ka when the snow first showed signs of melting, it is now time for our 10 year reunion! 

The past ten years have flown by and reunion year is a great time to share the journey life has brought us down since graduating. Save the dates June 10-13, 2010 and return to the Springfield College campus to reach our goal of bringing 100 classmates home. If you can’t come for the whole weekend, at least come for part of it. This weekend is about reuniting as a class and reconnecting as friends through activities, socials, and good old fashion tradition. In order to do this, we need YOU. Connect with us through our Facebook Group, Springfield College Class of 2000 Reunion.

As you're thinking about your years on campus, and (hopefully!) making plans to come back in June, please also take a moment to think about giving back to the annual fund this year. Our support as alumni helps keep the college strong, and keep tuition as low as possible, ensuring that today's students can have the Springfield experience that we all did. While recognizing the state of the economy and the fact that many people have young families, loans to pay and other life expenses, you don't have to give hundreds or thousands to make a difference. So far, only 9 of our classmates have made a gift/pledge to the college this year. 9 out of 400+. We can do better than that. What can you give? Are you willing to skip a few trips to Starbucks or one night out for Springfield College? Please consider what you can do . Our support really does make a difference.

We hope that you can become involved in this years reunion weekend, please reach out and contact a class mate, a room-mate and come see what has changed around the SC Campus (and a LOT has changed), meet with old friends and take a walk down memory lane.
