SC CLASS OF ’51 REUNION
June 10-13, 2010

ACTION NEEDED: Room reservations
A block of rooms at Enfield Crowne Plaza has been reserved for us and the classes of ’49 and ‘50. The hotel provides complimentary transportation from Bradley Field to the hotel. The College will have periodic transportation to and from campus. To make reservations call with your major credit card number by May 14. Ask for the ’49, ’50, ’51 block of rooms for reunion. The phone number is 860-741-2211.

ACTION NEEDED:
a. Begin calling and emailing classmates encouraging them to attend.
b. Please fill out and return the enclosed pre-response form to the Alumni Office at your earliest convenience.  Remember this is not your formal registration.  It is just to give us an advanced idea of numbers.

Well here I am again!  Many thanks to those who responded to the Alumni Office with their decisions about our Reunion.  We need to hear from those still undecided as soon as possible.  Logistics of an annual meeting requires more than a guess.
The folks across the campus in the Annual Fund Office are even more concerned about hearing from you.  If you have habitually given in the late spring, please try to move it up a few weeks.  Remember that 70% of your yearly gift goes to student scholarships.  As you well know, interest earnings are down.
Now for some information on our Reunion:  The Crowne Plaza will put a roof over your head for $99.00 per night.  Deadline for reservations are May 20th.  Cancellations can be made before 6:00 p.m. on the date of your planned arrival.
Please contact the Alumni Office in writing if you have any special needs to insure the comfort of your visit.  Three weeks notice before you plan to arrive will be necessary.
Aside from seeing the magnificent buildings, you will have a chance to interface with volunteer students who will be there to make our stay enjoyable.
A story core briefing is a unique opportunity for you to share your memories of Springfield; to share incidents that impacted upon your life as you discovered Springfield wherever you roamed.  College historians will ask you a series of memory provoking questions. These will be taped and adapted for disc...for all to celebrate the Springfield adventure of 125 years.
Please give thought that your presence may have significant meaning to you and your classmates in this year of 2010.  Looking forward to joining you in June.
