First Year/Transfer Student Placement Information
It is important that all first-year and transfer students fill out all housing forms in the housing packet to ensure no delays in placement.Your $200 acceptance deposit must be made to the Admissions Office before any information from the Office of Housing and Residence Life can be mailed to you. Once the deposit has been made, Residence Life will mail a freshmen packet to you. Please allow at least two weeks from the date of your deposit for delivery. Included in this packet is an acceptance letter from Residence Life, which briefly describes the first-year residence halls, as well as its policies, a housing preference survey, a housing agreement form, and information about the campus.
Please fill out both the Housing Preference Survey and Housing Agreement Form and return it the Office of Housing and Residence Life within two weeks. Once the forms are received in our office, we will place you with a fellow student who best suits your needs and shares some of the same interests. Housing placements along with roommate information will begin to be mailed out in June 2009. If you have not received your assignment by August 1, 2009, please contact our office so a replacement letter can be mailed to you.
Please keep in mind that if you send your housing survey and housing agreement forms after August 1, 2009, your letter will be mailed to you approximately two weeks after it has been received in our office.
