Graduate Student Aide $8.25/hour

 

Graduate student aides have the same responsibility as the undergraduate student aides categorized as Student Worker I and Student Worker II.  Additional responsibilities include:

 

Graduate student aides work with the secretary, but the work assignment is prioritized based on the department Professor’s need. 

Graduate student aides assist the department in compiling research data, exam proctoring, filing, electronic article retrieval, etc. SPSS data entry.  Enters exam scores.  Literature reviews.  

 

STUDENT WORKER II

 

In addition to the requirements of Student Worker I, these stu­dents exercise an increased working knowledge of faculty, campus, and work requirements.

However, these students require minimum supervision, and will be exposed to advanced software uses as the need arises.

This position is for the returning student aide in their 2nd and 3rd year of employment within the department.

Demonstrated multi-level interpersonal skills for a multi-cul­tural environment in order to effectively communicate with faculty, students, parents, and Springfield College employ­ees as the need arises.

Experience with the latest versions of Quark Express, Adobe Illustrator, and PhotoShop is required; experience with

Job Title:   Athletic Office Aide   1 or 2 depending on hours available.  

Hours:   4 to 5 hours per week.   

Preference (Undergraduate, Graduate, any skills required): Undergraduate.   Must have work study hours available.   Microsoft Office (Word and Excel knowledge a must) 

Position Description (including hours and days you will need student help):  4 to 5 hrs. per week.  Occasionally answer office phones, take messages, some filing, typing (on typewriter) check request, purchase orders.

Number of Positoins:  15 -20             Location:  Marsh, lower level, across the hall from Campus Police.

            The Phonathon Caller is part of a team of students who play an important role in helping Springfield College meet its Annual Fund goals through phone solicitation of alumni and parents. Phonathon callers report to the Student Phonathon Manager and the Associate Director of the Annual Fund.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Making phone calls to alumni/parents to share news of the College, update information and solicit support for the Springfield College Annual Fund.
  2. Serve as a liaison between Springfield College and the alumni/parents you are calling.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge about Springfield College events and happenings.
  4. Keep neat and accurate records of calls made.
  5. Project a positive attitude!

Qualifications:

Training will be provided upon hire, and is ongoing. Successful candidates will have demonstrated enthusiasm and a positive attitude about Springfield College, must enjoy talking to people, and be comfortable asking for money. As representatives of Springfield College, respect and professionalism are expected at all times.

 

Working hours:

The Phonathon runs Sunday – Thursday nights from 5:45pm – 9:00pm during the fall and spring semesters. Each caller is asked to work at least 2 shifts per week. Schedule can be flexible and worked out with supervisor upon hire. Pay is minimum wage.
