Alden Street Review

Each spring, the students at Springfield College publish a literary magazine called The Alden Street Review. The student editorial board selects from the best poems, short stories, creative nonfiction pieces, and artwork submitted by students, faculty, and staff on campus. Some work comes from pieces sharpened and focused in creative writing courses, but many submissions come from the diverse talent that is an exciting part of the Springfield College community.

The faculty advisor, Justine Dymond, M.F.A, Ph.D., works closely with students as they learn the valuable skills involved in creating a literary magazine: reviewing the submissions and making careful and considered editorial choices, as well as editing, designing, and producing the magazine.

Copies of the literary magazine are free, and are available each spring on the main floor of Weiser Hall, in Babson Library, and in Cheney Dining Hall.

Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to submit their work for consideration in the magazine.
