As a participant of the Executive Master's Program, you will be able to complete assignments and continue dialogue with faculty and colleagues through an online system called the Manhattan Virtual Classroom (MVC).
The Manhattan Virtual Classroom was created by Steve Narmontas at Western New England College in Springfield, Massachusetts, and is accessed via the Internet. Springfield College adopted a version of the MVC for its faculty and students, who utilize this great online learning tool quite successfully. This system will allow you to participate in on-line sessions and web-enhanced learning.
You don’t need an E-mail address for Manhattan!
A Post Office module exists in Manhattan and works just like E-mail. Once you have accessed your MVC course, you will be able to:- send E-mail to your instructor or fellow colleagues
- access the Internet to retrieve class assignments
- send completed coursework to instructors
- participate in class discussions
- conduct Chat discussions
- link to resourceful websites
Adequate Training Available
You will participate in a MVC training session conducted by Marsha Y. Jones, the Information Services Coordinator for SHS. At that time, you will also receive instructional handouts for your reference to help you as you navigate within Manhattan.
