Pride's P.A.W.S.
Peer-Administered Wellness Seminars (P.A.W.S.)
The peer wellness educators assist the Health Educator in creating, facilitating, and evaluating wellness programs, including the Fit 2 Lead program. The peer wellness educators are certified through the BACCHUS Network. Certified Peer Educator (CPE) Student Leadership Empowerment Training helps peer educators to develop leadership skills to be able to successfully develop and implement campus programs.
P.A.W.S. encourages their peers on campus to develop lifelong healthy behaviors. They teach the campus community how to live a balanced lifestyle by focusing on Springfield College’s Wellness Wheel, which includes the following dimensions of wellness: spiritual, cultural, physical, social, emotional, environmental, professional, and intellectual. P.A.W.S. educates students how to make healthy choices through informational campaigns and fun, interactive programs.
