Dean's Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the Springfield College School of Arts, Sciences, and Professional Studies. Within our school are eight departments dedicated to teaching and learning across a wide range of the traditional liberal arts disciplines, as well as a number of professional studies programs. Each department offers a choice of both majors and minors for concentrated study.What unites all of our offerings is our collective dedication to Springfield College’s guiding mission. Whatever majors or minors our students choose, they can trust that a highly trained and dedicated faculty will meet them--inside and outside of the classroom--as whole people. At every level of undergraduate and graduate study, our philosophy of developing students in spirit, mind, and body for leadership in service to others is infused.
Today, we know our graduates enter a rapidly changing global society where they will face career challenges and job expectations currently not known. What remains unchanging is the value and marketability of core skills evident among the graduates of our School: strong critical thinking, writing, and speaking skills.
