Political Science
The Political Science minor at Springfield College helps students develop their ability to think critically and communicate effectively and persuasively. Those abilities provide opportunities in a wide variety of careers in which one is required to analyze complex problems and deal with people, such as Management, Law, Public Relations, Sales, the Media, Business, and Government.In keeping with the Humanics Philosophy, students develop skills in preparation for serving others in their communities, cities, country, and the world.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POLITICAL SCIENCE MINOR (18 sh):
- POSC 110 American Government
- POSC 130 Intro to International Relations
- POSC 210 Public and Human Service Administration OR POSC 330 State and Local Government
- Any other 3 courses with a POSC prefix (9 sh)
