Robert Price's Bio
“Doctor Bob” Price is in his thirtieth year as a member of the Springfield College faculty. While his graduate school focus was on the Intertestamental Period (Jewish Roots of Christianity, Second Temple Judaism, Dead Sea Scrolls), his teaching at Springfield College is wide-ranging, including a course on the Bible, Religion in America, World Religions and, his most popular course, Spirituality and Healing.A native of Little Rock, Ark. and 1961 graduate of the famous Little Rock Central High School, the Rev. Dr. Price is a retired United Methodist clergyman, who has, while at Springfield College, served as pastor part-time in Monson, Ludlow, Greenfield, Leyden, and Springfield. He joined the Springfield College faculty after completing his doctorate with Dr. W. D. Davies at Duke University, and after three years on the faculty of North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, N.C. He has also served as a basketball official scorer for Springfield College, UMass, the Tip-Off Classic, and the New England Blizzard. He has three adult children and lives with his wife, Barbara Shepherd, in Monson.
