YMCA Scholarship Opportunities at Springfield College
A number of opportunities are available for Springfield College students who are preparing for a career in the YMCA or are employed by a YMCA and are looking to further their education.
Undergraduate students:
Students who enroll in the Springfield College YMCA Career Candidate Program have the opportunity to apply for the YMCA Matching Scholarship. This Scholarship program has been established to assist local YMCAs in the recruitment and retention of future and current staff. When a YMCA provides a Springfield College student with tuition assistance, the College will match that support up to $5000 per year, per association.YMCA Career Candidates are also eligible for a variety of scholarships available through the Financial Aid office that are designated specifically to students who are committed to a career in the YMCA. These “non-application” scholarships are awarded directly through the financial aid office and are awarded based on financial need.
Graduate Students and School of Human Services Students:
Graduate Students and students who enroll in the SHS Program at Springfield College also have the opportunity to apply for the YMCA Matching Scholarship fund if they are YMCA employees. YMCA employees may also apply to the YMCA of the USA for additional scholarships.
