Faculty at SHS St. Johnsbury

Full-time faculty at SHS St. Johnsbury:

Steven Hinds

M.Ed. St. Michael’s College. B.A. Dartmouth College. Undergraduate Program Coordinator and Instructor at St. Johnsbury Campus. His primary interest is facilitating learning which enables people to rediscover their innate power and significance. Education in the deepest sense of the word is not just about building skills and knowledge; it is about uncovering what lies hidden within. He has followed this thread through work in education at many levels including pre-school, elementary, special education, and community based adult programs. Even a period of time in the corporate world led to a deeper awareness of the organizational systems which empower and disempower people. His community work has included domestic violence prevention, strategic community economic and educational planning, and alternative neighborhood development processes such as co-housing.
