WAC -- Writing Across the Curriculum

What's the Purpose of "WAC"?

"WAC" or "Writing Across the Curriculum" is a pedagogy based on the premise that students learn to write best by writing well in all of their courses, such as English, math, science, etc., and not by taking one or two writing classes over the course of their college careers.

The following courses are conducted at the School of Human Services campuses to assist you in becoming a proficient writer for school, work and personal use:
  • Communication Skills I
  • Communications Skills II
  • Grantwriting
  • Writing for Human Services
  • Writing Skills
The WAC Resources scroll provides a snapshot of some of the topics you will find explained in detail as you explore the WAC links below. Specific categories covered are listed under each link.
