--Carmine Pecoraro, Ph.D.

Carmine Pecoraro will be your instructor for the course entitled: "Human Nature, Human Development, and Assessment." Dr. Pecoraro, holds a Doctorate Degree in Psychology and Master's of Science Degree in Psychology from the Miami Institute of Psychology, with a concentration in Psychology and Neuropsychology, Master's of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. He is currently certified as an Addictions Professional in the state of Florida, he is a certified Additionologist and an internationally certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Participates in private practice and contract work as a professional trainer/consultant. He is presently involved in various workshops and seminars nationally and internationally. He is current co-host of the television show Global Health Watch (1.2 million viewers).


--Gary Lacy, Ph.D.

Gary Lacy will be your instructor for the course entitled: "Advocacy Techniques." Dr. Lacy holds a Ed.D in Counselor Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, an M.A. from Bowie State University's Adler-Dreikurs Institute, and an undergraduate degree from Shaw University. He is the Associate Dean and Director, Curriculum and Instruction at Springfield College, MA, School of Human Services (SHS). He oversees faculty and curriculum development at SHS's 10 campuses, and directs the Executive Master's Program. Dr. Lacy has served as the Washington-based Deputy Executive Director, Programs, Policies and Strategies for National Parents and Teachers Association (developed federal and state lobbying strategy and local state advocacy initiatives). Previously, he was Professor and Director of the Graduate Studies Clinical Counseling Program at Heidelberg College, Tiffin, OH. Dr. Lacy served as senior policy associate at the Children Defense Fund, working primarily on federal, state local advocacy in the area of education, employment and national service. He has also held academic appointments in Sapporo, Japan, and in the Peoples Republic of China. He has more than 20 years experience as a senior human services executive focusing on service delivery, training, teaching, grassroots organizing, research and advocacy. Dr. Lacy also served as a consultant to Vice President Mondale's Task Force on Youth Employment and was Senior Director of the National Crime Prevention Council. Dr. Lacy


--Joel Littlejohn, Ph.D.

Joel Littlejohn will be your instructor for the course entitled: "Graduate Project II." Joel holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, an Ed.S. from the University of Michigan, an M.A. from Western Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Science degree at Western Michigan University. Her background includes 30 years of public education , including school administration, counseling and supervision, and teaching of business education subjects in public schools. She is currently an Assistant Professor for the School of Human Services at Springfield College, and has worked as an adjunct professor for Springfield College and Delaware State University. She serves as an advisor for Project Stay Free, a program for adjudicated youth, and the Delaware Adolescence Program, Inc., for parenting or expectant youth. Her board membership includes Tech Prep Delaware and the Delaware Advisory Council on Career and vocational education. Joel Littlejohn
