Social Sciences Department
Whether in practical, real-life situations or in theoretical and scholarly study, the programs in the Department of Social Sciences fully encompass Springfield College's Humanics philosophythe idea that spirit, mind and body are vital and interconnected aspects of every human being.

Students leaving Springfield College with degrees in the social sciences go forth in careers in nonprofits, politics, community development, law enforcement, court, corrections and social justice. (As you may have already noticed, the world needs more of every one.) They are also superbly prepared for graduate-level education in any of these fields.
With interdisciplinary programs across many important areas, the department of Social Sciences at Springfield College offers:
