Springfield, Mass. - October 16, 2007 -- The Springfield College softball team was recently honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for its success in the classroom.
Under the direction of head coach Kathy Mangano, the Pride was tabbed as a 2006-2007 NFCA All-Academic Team. The squad posted a cumulative GPA of 3.487 last season.
As a team, Springfield had the third-high grade point average of any team in Division III. This was the highest that a Springfield softball team has ever finished in this ranking.
