SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – October 12, 2007 – The Springfield College women's volleyball team is ranked tenth in New England according to the latest New England Women's Volleyball Association Coaches Poll that was released on October 7, 2007.
Under the direction of head coach Joel Dearing, the Pride is 18-6 on the season. Against teams in the New England region, Dearing's squad has rattled off a record of 17-6. Springfield is currently ranked 10th out of a 15-team poll. There are four New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) schools represented in the poll, including MIT (No.1), Wellesley (No. 5) and Coast Guard (No. 12).
The Pride looks to improve its record on Tuesday, October 16 when it plays host to conference-foe Mount Holyoke. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
