No. 6 Wrestling Wins Doug Parker Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Nov. 20, 2004 – Springfield College senior Scott Fay (Danbury, Conn.) and senior P.J. Rovinelli (Framingham, Mass.) won the 285-pound and 184-pound titles, respectively, to lead the No. 6 Pride to the team championship at the 15th-annual Doug Parker Wrestling Invitational today at SC.

Centenary’s Mike Gummerson was named the meet’s outstanding wrestler after winning the 125-pound title.

This was the ninth time in 10 years that SC has finished in first place since the meet became a team scoring event in 1995. Last season, the Pride tied with Norwich University for first-place out of 19 teams.
