No. 6 Wrestling Wins Doug Parker Invitational
Complete ResultsSPRINGFIELD, Mass., Nov. 20, 2004 – Springfield College senior Scott Fay (Danbury, Conn.) and senior P.J. Rovinelli (Framingham, Mass.) won the 285-pound and 184-pound titles, respectively, to lead the No. 6 Pride to the team championship at the 15th-annual Doug Parker Wrestling Invitational today at SC.
Centenary’s Mike Gummerson was named the meet’s outstanding wrestler after winning the 125-pound title.
This was the ninth time in 10 years that SC has finished in first place since the meet became a team scoring event in 1995. Last season, the Pride tied with Norwich University for first-place out of 19 teams.

Head Coach Daryl Arroyo
Former Springfield College All-American Daryl Arroyo will be entering his 19th season as the head wrestling coach at his alma mater in 2008-09. Under his tutelage, the Springfield College wrestling program has posted a 265-141-6 overall dual-meet record, good for an outstanding .650 winning percentage.
