BOSTON, December 3, 2005 – Springfield College junior Alex Kampersal (Natick, Mass.) took third place in the shot put as seven Pride athletes qualified for the Division III New England Championships at the New Balance Winter Carnival hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston on Saturday.

SC’s Nick DeCelle (Mechanicville, N.Y.) leaped 21 feet, four inches in the long jump to place seventh while taking sixth in the triple jump with a bound of 41 feet, eight 1/2 inches.
In the running events, Pride junior Tetsuji Kambara (Osaka, Japan) took fourth place in the 5,000-meters with a time of 14:59.69.
