



Heading the coaching lineup will be Springfield College Softball Coach and Associate Professor of Physical Education Kathy Mangano, three-time NEWMAC Coach of the Year. Other participating former Springfield College softball coaches will be Diane Potter, member of the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame for whom the Springfield College softball field is named, and Lynn Johnson, who also was assistant softball coach at the University of Vermont. Also coaching will be former Springfield College softball team members including Diane Schumacher, member of the national and international softball halls of fame.
The clinic is designed for beginner through experienced players. Girls will be grouped by their skill levels and will rotate through stations to learn or improve skills in hitting, pitching, fielding, throwing and catching.
Following the clinic, there will be a free cookout at noon, and girls may attend the Springfield College softball alumnae game, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Julie Perrelli enters her third season at the helm of the Springfield College softball program and as an assistant professor of physical education. In her first two seasons in the dugout for the Pride, Perelli has guided Springfield to the NEWMAC Championship title game. Read more.
