

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - June 18, 2008 - Springfield College senior longstick midfielder Chris Sharpe was recently selected as an ECAC Division III New England First Team All-Star.
A native of Derry, N.H., Sharpe was honored earlier this season as the Pilgrim Lacrosse League's Player of the Year. He finished his senior campaign with a team-best 40 caused turnovers to go along with 78 ground balls. He added four goals and an assist as well, tallying five points on the year. The preseason All-American was a major component in the Pride's defense that owned a 7.76 goals against average in 2008.
The Pride finished the season with an 11-7 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to the eventual national runner-up, Cortland State, 12-9.
Keith Bugbee enters his 26th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2008. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in New England. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 267-126 (.679 winning percentage). Read more.
