Montgomery Chosen To Participate in 2008 USILA North/South Senior All-Star Games

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - May 20, 2008 - Capping off an outstanding season for the men's lacrosse team, senior Tyler Montgomery has been chosen to represent Springfield College this weekend in the 2008 USILA North/South Senior All-Star Games.

The 67th Annual USILA North/South Senior All-Star Games will take place at Harvard Stadium on Friday May 23rd as part of a triple header. The Division III game will be played at 2:00 PM and the Division I/II game will be played at 4:00 PM, followed by the Boston Cannons game vs. the Rochester Rattlers at 7:00 PM.

Montgomery, who hails from Brunswick, Maine had a breakout year in his final campaign for the Pride as he led the team with 34 goals on the season. He finished with 38 points for the year, third best on the team. He was especially effective on man-up situations, as he recorded 10 man-up goals. He also had 14 ground balls as a member of the Pride's first midfield line. He will wear No. 7 in the game for the North squad, the same number he wore his final three years at Springfield.

He finished his career ranked 28th in career goals in the program's storied history, as he found the back of the cage 68 times as a member of the Pride.
