Wrestling Opens its Dual-Meet Season with Victories Over WNEC, AIC
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (November 15, 2006) – The 17th-ranked Springfield College wrestling team defeated Western New England College, 45-0, and American International College, 47-4, this evening in a tri-meet at Springfield College’s Blake Arena. In the third match of the night, WNEC defeated AIC, 15-12.
With the wins, Springfield is now 2-0 in dual-meet competition, while WNEC is 1-1, and AIC 0-2.

Head Coach Daryl Arroyo
Former Springfield College All-American Daryl Arroyo will be entering his 19th season as the head wrestling coach at his alma mater in 2008-09. Under his tutelage, the Springfield College wrestling program has posted a 265-141-6 overall dual-meet record, good for an outstanding .650 winning percentage.
