ROCHESTER, N.Y. – February 9, 2008 – The Springfield College men's volleyball team fell to the host Nazareth College Golden Flyers in the Championship game of the Nazareth Invitational on Saturday evening.
Nazareth claimed the title by winning the match by the scores of 30-20, 30-27, 30-25. The Pride advanced to the Championship game after topping No. 8 D'Youville in four games, 27-30, 31-29, 30-16, 30-24.
With the split, the Pride, which is ranked second in the country in the latest AVCA/CSTV Coaches Poll, now stands at 9-2 on the season.
Sophomore AJ Nally and freshman Cal Palumbo were both named to the All-Tournament Team for their efforts over the weekend.
