No. 8 Wrestling Downs Williams, 28-19
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Springfield College sophomore Mark DeCiccio (Cranston, R.I.) registered a pin at 149 pounds to lead the No. 8 Pride to a 28-19 victory over Williams College in wrestling action, Wednesday.
DeCiccio, the second-ranked 149-pounder in New England, improved to 10-7 this winter with the victory.
Also registering wins for the Pride were senior P.J. Rovinelli (Framingham, Mass.) at 184, senior Jason Leckey (Guilford, Conn.) at 197, junior Pete Marques (Massapequa, N.Y.) at 133, and senior Ben Davis-Oscar (Willimantic, Conn.) at 157.
SC entered the meet ranked No. 1 in New England, while Williams (7-4-1) was No. 6.
SC (9-2) returns to action Sunday (Jan. 30) when it travels to No. 6 College of New Jersey at 12:00 p.m.
