Men's Lacrosse Overruns Clark, 27-6, In Pilgrim League Opener

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March. 5, 2005 – Springfield College senior attackman
Shawn Cofrin (Derry, N.H.) tallied four goals and three assists to lead the Pride to a 27-6 victory over Clark University in its Pilgrim League opener this afternoon in men’s lacrosse.

Taylor Brown’s (Portsmouth, R.I.) was credited with three goals and four assists, while senior midfielder
Adam Cost (Camillus, N.Y.) added three goals and an assist for the Pride, which won its third-straight game.
SC (3-4, 1-0 Pilgrim) opened a 13-0 first-quarter lead, including three goals by Cofrin, and two apiece from Brown, Cost and senior midfielder
Kevin Warnock (Somers, Conn.) and never looked back en route to the victory.
Freshman attackman Andrew Webber was credited with three goals for Clark (2-4, 0-2 Pilgrim).
SC returns to action next Saturday (April 9) when it travels to Wheaton for a 1:00 p.m. showdown with the Lyons.
