SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (November 17, 2007) – Mike Griffin finished 206th (of 280) as an individual in the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. earlier today.
A native of Scarborough, Maine, Griffin placed first among those who competed from the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference. His time was 26:25 over the 8,000-meter course.
NYU won the team competition with 128 points, while Tyler Sigl of Wisconsin-Plattville finished first among individuals with a time of 24:24.
It was a good week overall for Griffin. The junior placed eighth in the NCAA Division III New England Regionals last Saturday in Waterford, Conn. He was then named to the All-Region Team last Tuesday.
