Headley Records Second-Fastest Time In 100 Dash Prelims at NCAA Championships

OSHKOSH, Wisc. - May 23, 2008 - Sophomore Steve Headley ran the second fastest time of the day in the prelims of the 100 meter dash at the NCAA Championships on Friday evening.

Headley crossed the finish line, with the wind at his back, in a time of 10.59. His previous fastest time of the season had been a 10.63 last weekend at the ECAC Championships at Springfield College. Headley will run in lane four on Saturday afternoon. Amaan Siddeeq from Cortland State had the fastest time of the day with a 10.54.

In the decathlon competition, senior Mike Miller did not compete in the second day due to a hamstring injury.
