SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - May 27, 2008 - Senior midfielder Tyler Montgomery concluded his standout senior campaign by being named an honorable mention All-America by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) on Saturday (May 24) at the NCAA Final Four.
This marks the sixth-straight season that the men's lacrosse team had at least one student athlete represented as an All-American.
Montgomery, who hails from Brunswick, Maine had a breakout year in his final year for the Pride as he led the team with 34 goals on the season. He finished with 38 points for the year, third best on the team. He was especially effective on man-up situations, as he recorded 10 man-up goals. He also had 14 ground balls as a member of the Pride's first midfield line.
