Marisa Clapp Earns All-America Honors At NCAA Division III Cross-Country Championship

Rock Island, Ill., Nov. 17, 2001 -- Sophomore Marisa Clapp (Winchendon, Mass.) finished 12th out of 213 runners in the 2001 NCAA Division III Cross-Country National Championship Saturday (Nov. 17) at Augustana College. Clapp was named an All-American for her outstanding finish.

Clapp finished the race in 17:33, 13 seconds behind the national champion Dana Boyle from the University of Puget Sound (Wash.). She improved on her finish from the 2000 NCAA Championship where she finished 52nd. Last Saturday (Nov.10), Clapp finished 10th at the 2001 NCAA New England Championship at Westfield, Mass.
