



Cantrall was also named Springfield College's Female Maroon Club Athlete of the Week as well.
Cantrall has anchored the Pride defense that has been nothing short of outstanding this season. Springfield pitched two more shutouts this season and brought its total this year to 10, including five-straight. Over the past week, Springfield topped MIT 6-0 at home before edging Smith 1-0 on Saturday.
The last time that the Pride allowed a goal at the Irv Schmid Sports Complex was on September 8 in a 2-1 win against Brandeis. Cantrall and the Pride have held opponents scoreless for the last 475:01 at home.
On Saturday, the Santa Paula, Calif. native converted a penalty kick with just over six minutes to play go to give the Pride a 1-0 win at conference-rival Smith. It was Cantrall's second goal of the season.
Cantrall and the Pride look to continue their success on Tuesday evening at home against Mount Holyoke. Kick-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
John Gibson, a native of London, England, enters his 12th season as head women's soccer at Springfield College in the fall of 2011. Gibson has led the Pride to the NCAA Tournament in four of the last six years and has established the Pride as one of the top programs in the country. His clubs have registered an impressive a 137-66-17 record.
