Wrestling Ties Norwich For Doug Parker Invitational Crown

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., November 22, 2003 – Springfield College senior Tom Medonis (Wethersfield, Conn.) won the 197-pound division at the 14th annual Doug Parker Invitational to lead the Pride to a first-place tie with Norwich University on Saturday. Springfield finished with a total team score of 106.5 along with the Cadets.

SUNY Oswego senior Tenk Agyeman was named the meet’s Most Outstanding Wrestler for the second-consecutive year after grabbing the 133-pound title.

SC junior Brian Viglione (Chelmsford, Mass.) took first place in the 174-pound weight class, along with freshman Kane Peverly (Northfield, N.H.) who placed first in the 285-pound division.

Springfield will next be competing in the Petrofes Tournament in Messiah, Pa. on the weekend of Friday, December 5.
