Men's Track & Field Competes At MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., February 12, 2005 – Senior All-American Blake Gulino (Old Saybrook, Conn.) outdistanced the field by over a foot, to capture first place in the long-jump (22 feet-nine inches) this past weekend at MIT’s Co-Ed Invitational.

Other first-place finishes for the Pride included freshmen Joe Dubuc (South Hadley, Mass.) in the 55-meter hurdles (8.31) and Dominick Uguccioni (Colrain, Mass.) in the shot put (49-06.50).

In other field events, freshmen Nick DeCelle (Mechanicville, N.Y.) took second in the triple jump (43-1/2), and fellow freshman Brad Evans (Revere, Mass.) placed second in the shot put (44-10 ¾

Senior Jason Burnell (Poland, Maine) took second with a time of 53.60 in the 400-meter dash and junior Scott Barton (Fort Plain, N.Y.) placed second in the 1500 with a time of 4:23.19 in the 1500.
